Originally educated in the British school system, Shaheen received his undergraduate degree in Engineering and Physics from Murray State University, and began his career as a process engineer. In his role he was responsible for applying Lean and Six Sigma business improvement methodologies to manufacturing environments. He has earned his Masters of Professional Studies from Georgetown University in the area of Strategic Human Capital Management. He is PHR, SPHR, and GPHR certified, as well as the recipient of almost eight more industry certifications including the Human Capital Institute’s Human Capital Strategist certification.

Shaheen is considered an expert on HR process design, measurement and metrics, as well as strategic talent acquisition strategy and implementation from cradle to grave. His clients include large defense contractors, information technology companies, financial services firms, the energy industry, as well as organizations that specialize in infrastructure creation. His projects range from basic research and benchmarking, strategic alignment of talent practices to root cause analysis, and employment branding.

He is also currently developing competencies in organizational network analysis as well as in the process of developing the Delta-3 Framework of Human Capital Management.

Shaheen is a published author in several academic and business journals, including the Journal of Corporate Recruiting Leadership (crljournal.com <http://crljournal.com> ). He is an active member of SHRM, HCI, and a regular contributor to ERE. He has been recognized by Georgetown University as an “inspiring” HR professional, and an upcoming thought leader of the profession.

Shaheen is an active member and contributor to the HR and business non-profit community. He was most recently elected to the chairmanship of the Watertown-Belmonte Evening Business Group.

A notable achievement to date is his college graduation at the young age of 19. Shaheen resides in northern Virginia. He loves horseback riding, owns a Harley Davidson, and is a big fan of NBC’s show The Office.
