Kim Rutledge is a talent acquisition leader with experience in myriad industries and staffing verticals. She has 15 years’ experience crossing technology, retail, restaurant, and media industries.

Prior to her current consulting work, Kim served as director of talent acquisition for the Americas at Dell, Inc. Kim’s team created a marketing campaign segmenting the candidate population and go-to-market strategies and emphasizing social media tools, which resulted in a 20% increase in receptiveness to Dell’s recruiting efforts in previously underserved segments. Under her leadership, Kim’s team also increased productivity per TA employee (as measured by hires) by 16% in one year; improved Customer Experience scores with hiring managers and new hires by 12% and 16%, respectively; and delivered over 7000 hires per year. Prior to her promotion into this role, Kim led a team of recruiters focused on outside sales and IT services, and a global sourcing team.

Before joining Dell, Kim led recruiting teams at The Home Depot as the leader of non-retail staffing and at AutoTrader.com as their director of recruitment. During her tenures, she implemented metrics and reporting, implemented an applicant tracking system, designed training programs for hiring managers focused on behavioral interviewing and role-playing assessments, and redesigned and implemented recruiting processes to enhance retention and time to productivity. A particular focus was the preparedness of the staffing teams to shift with changing business objectives, requiring extremely skilled, adaptable recruiters, managers and sourcers.

Prior to her experience in staffing leadership, Kim had progressively larger management roles in the restaurant industry, culminating as the director of operations of a small chain in Atlanta, GA. Kim’s experience managing P&L’s prepared her well for moving into recruiting restaurant managers, then into an executive search consultant role. Maintaining a strong focus on top-line objectives, while minding bottom-line costs is a strength that Kim brings to each client relationship and which allows her to meaningfully prioritize deliverables.

Kim holds a BS degree in Restaurant, Hotel and Institutional Management from Texas Tech University.
