Tony is currently the Vice President of Recruiting & HRIS at DaVita, a Fortune 500 company that provides world-class dialysis services and kidney care to nearly 120,000 patients across the nation. He’s been a recruiting leader for 12 years in the healthcare, financial services, and telecommunications industries.

His recruiting team at DaVita has won several awards, including ERE’s Recruiting Team of the Year (2009), and Best Corporate Careers Site (2010). Additionally, the team was recognized by Workforce Magazine, winning an “Optimas Award” for creating competitive advantage (2009). They are also the only two-time winner of Taleo’s annual Innovation Awards (2008, 2009).

He is both an “architect” and “teacher” at heart, and enjoys sharing his real-world leadership experiences – in the hope that others can learn from his mistakes! Some of his favorite events include presenting at ERExpo three times, SHRM Staffing Management twice, and at PeopleSoft User Conferences in the good ole days (1999-2001).

In his early professional life, he was a systems engineer and project manager in the aerospace industry (he even worked on a few of President Reagan’s “Star Wars” projects in the 80s).

Tony has a Masters of Science degree in Management from the University of Colorado, and a Bachelors of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Kansas State University. He is also a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR). Tony has called Colorado home since 1984. He is a very amateur cyclist who has ridden in three Tour DaVita charity rides, having accomplished a few “centuries” along the way.
